Union City Volunteer Opportunities
Union City Library -- The Union City Library is looking for teen volunteers, 9th grade and above, during the school year and in the summer. Students will need to come in for the one hour volunteer orientation every Thursday at 4 PM. At the orientation you can check for available shifts that you could work. The application may be picked up at the information desk at the Library during open hours. There will be a screening process before accepting volunteers. New volunteers are placed on a trial basis for a few weeks to make sure they are a good match.
For students in grades 6-8, summer volunteer opportunities assisting in KIDPOWER or Reading Buddies are available. These programs start when school is out in the mid June and continue until mid August. Additional opportunities include assisting with the computer tutoring program, the after school Homework Center, and frequent special events and take down.
